Erasmus is a European student-exchange program. Students going abroad as part of Erasmus do not have to take a year of leave from their home university, and courses taken at the host university are counted toward the degree as equivalent to courses taken at the student's home university. All EU and EFTA students of the Faculty of Psychology (as well as MISH and MISMaP students) can participate in this program if they are in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year and go through a qualification process.
Applications are accepted from mid-November until the end of January.

Faculy Coordinator of the program: Dorota Kobylińska, PhD [e-mail]

Students from EU:
Our Program welcomes Erasmus students, who are admitted on the same basis as other Erasmus students at University of Warsaw. For detailed regulations see http://www.bwz.uw.edu.pl

Our Students:
All EU and EFTA students of University of Warsaw are eligible to participate in the Erasmus program.

For the Socrates-Erasmus program, students can apply from the II year of study.

Qualification criteria:

  • A written statement from the tutor/thesis supervisor, of how advanced the student is in his/her theoretical/empirical or master thesis
  • Knowledge of a foreign language:
  • Grade gained at the university exam
  • Type of passed exam
  • Learning duration of the language
  • Student's subjective feeling of the grasp of the language
  • Average grade after the II, III and IV year of study (depending on which year the candidate currently is)
  • Grades from the obligatory courses
  • Candidate's "educational past" (candidates that take part in the qualification process can do so, only if they have completed all the earlier semesters without any conditional entries)
  • Number of points gained during the qualification interview, which will concern the candidate's studies and the planned departure (the number of points is the average of points awarded by each member of the committee).

The applications should be submitted till January 10th of each academic year. The qualification interview takes place during the winter exam session. The qualification procedures should end by March 15th. After this date, students can start to take care of the formalities connected to their departure (information about what documents are needed, can be found on the websites of the destined university).
